The Engine Pro's headline number is the battery: 748 Wh is a large pack for a $1599 AUD e-bike — many competitors at this price ship 500–600 Wh instead. That capacity is what underwrites Engwe's claimed 100 km range figure, though as with every manufacturer-claimed range, expect the real-world number to land noticeably lower once rider weight, terrain, wind and hot Australian conditions are factored in.

The 250W hub motor and 25 km/h assist cut-out mean this specific configuration ships road-legal for Australian bike paths and streets without needing to be de-restricted, which isn't guaranteed with every fat-tyre e-bike in this class — Engwe sells higher-powered variants elsewhere that don't meet the AU limit, so it's worth double-checking the exact spec sheet of whatever you're ordering. At 33 kg it's a heavy bike, typical for the segment's oversized frame, fat tyres and large battery — factor that into how you'll store, transport or carry it.

The complication, covered in the availability note below, is that this exact model appears to have been superseded in Engwe's current lineup by the Engine Pro 2.0 and 3.0 Boost, both with different motor and battery specs.
